Personal description

Chen Shaoyi is an associate based in the firm’s Guangzhou Office, where she has been practicing since 2015.

Shaoyi’s practice mainly concentrates on litigating disputes pertaining to intellectual property rights and unfair competition. She has litigated hundreds of cases on trademark infringement, unfair competition, administrative litigation concerning granting and affirmation of trademark rights, as well as criminal prosecution of trademark counterfeiting, with her practice also extending to domain name arbitration and corporate governance matters.  She manages to obtain for the clients favorable court decisions in quite a few cases involving unfair use of other’s trademarks as trade names. She advises brand owners on brand protection and infringement matters on a frequent basis.

Shaoyi’s clients include a dozen multinational corporations and industry leaders in internet, fast moving consumer goods, fashion, manufacturing, and engineering, among others.
