Personal description
Mr. Weifeng Sun is a Senior Patent Counsel in the firm’s Beijing office. He focuses on patent matters with the areas of mechanics, civil engineering, medical devices, design and other related technical subjects.
Weifeng is experienced in serving the needs of both domestic and multinational companies in patent prosecution, patent infringement litigations, patent invalidation proceedings and their subsequent administrative litigations before courts and the State Intellectual Property Administration of PRC (the CNIPA). He also provides clients opinions on freedom-to-operate, infringement, validity and patentability.

Before joining WAN HUI DA, Mr. Sun worked for the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) as a patent examiner for more than 8 years. There, he examined more than 500 cases in the fields of architecture structures/engineering and mechanical engineering in the substantive examination and reexamination process. In addition, he was a teacher for training new examiners.
