On 15^th October 2023, the “Forum for the Protection of Geographical Indications for Wine”, which is jointly organized by the Shandong Provincial Intellectual Property Research Institute and Yantai International GI Industry IP Operation Center, is held in Yantai.

The Forum features informative introduction and thought-provoking discussion over the legal basis for the protection of geographical indications for wine, the governance and compliance of wine industry, as well as the appellation of origin regime available to French wine makers.

Zhu Zhigang, Partner of Wanhuida Intellectual Property, speaks on “Protection of Geographical Indications for French Wine in China”. Mr. Zhu offers the attendees a panorama introduction on how GIs for French wine and spirits are protected in different procedures through different approaches.
