Wanhuida welcomes veteran IP lawyer Bruce (Zegang) Yu
On
25 June 2021, Mr. Bruce (Zegang) Yu joined Wanhuida Intellectual Property.
Bruce
will be based in Wanhuida’s Shanghai and Ningbo offices, serving as a leader to
the litigation practice of our East China team. He will also coordinate the
firm’s Customs protection practice.
Bruce
is experienced in a wide range of IP matters. His practice encompasses trade
secret, OEM-related disputes, trademark, copyright, patent, IP enforcement at
trade fairs, as well as Customs IP protection. He has in-depth knowledge of
China’s IP border protection regime and has handled more than 2,000 cases in
this regard. He has served as the lead counsel in quite a few landmark cases, including
several that were selected by China’s Supreme People’s Court as the Top 10
IPR Cases and 50 Exemplary IPR Cases and by China’s General
Administration of Customs as the Exemplary Customs IP Protection Cases.
The
addition of Bruce will enhance Wanhuida’s strategic objective of expanding
services in the East China legal market. Bruce brings valuable expertise to the
firm’s IP portfolio, particularly with respect to its trade secret and Customs protection
practices.
