Wanhuida Partner Speaks at Madrid Training Workshop in Kunming

On Tuesday 11th June, 2019, the “Training Workshop on Intellectual Property Protection with Focus on the Madrid System for the International Registration of Marks” (hereinafter referred to as the “Training Workshop”), which is jointly organised by the China Trademark Association (CTA), the World Intellectual Property Organisation Office in China (WOC) and the Intellectual Property Office of Yunnan Province, is held in Kunming, Yunnan. The event is sponsored by Yunnan Trademark Association.

The one-day Training Workshop is unveiled by the opening remarks of Wu Dongping, CTA Deputy Secretary, Zhang Junqin, Counsellor of WIPO Office in China and Fang Tao, Director General of the Intellectual Property Office of Yunnan Province. Theirry Bouquet, Deputy Director of Madrid Operation Division, WIPO prepares the floor on the “Overview of Madrid System and its Latest Development”. It is followed by the presentation on “Latest Development of CTMO on Madrid E-filling System and Practical Tips” given by Xu Zhisong, Division Head, Trade Mark Office, National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA).

In the afternoon session, Amy Cao Wanhuida Intellectual Property Partner speaks on “Viewpoints and Experiences on Protecting Trademarks Abroad through Madrid System”. The event is closed by Zhang Junqin’s presentation on “Foreign counterpart’s practice and suggestions on Chinese users of Madrid System”.

Wanhuida Yunnan Office supports the event. IP Officials from local Administration for Market Regulation and delegates of local businesses attend the Training Workshop.
