Wanhuida Partner attends 2020 WeChat IP Protection Conference
On
25th November 2o20 the WeChat IP Protection Conference, which
is organized by Tencent, is held in Chengdu, Sichuan. As part of the
conference, the WeChat Legal team synchronously releases the “2020 WeChat
Brand Protection Report” and “2020 WeChat Copyright Protection Report”,
showcasing WeChat’s achievements in brand and copyright protection field.
According
to the report, 390+ world-renowned brand owners have joined the WeChat Brand
Protection Platform (BPP). From July 2019 to June 2020, WeChat has forwarded
more than 410,000 infringement leads to brand owners, taken actions against over
71,000 infringing personal accounts, and blocked more than 35,000 infringing
accounts. The Team also processed 120,000+ copyright infringement complaints,
including over 60,000 infringements of text plagiarism, 30,000 infringements of
film and television works, and 20,000 of online audio, video, pirated textbooks
and software.
