From 17th to 18th March, 2017, the “2017 AIPPI China Youth IP Spring Seminar” (the Seminar) is convened at Zhangjiakou, China. The Seminar is conducted in English and serves as a platform for the young attorneys and lawyers to showcase their lingual and professional expertise.

The Seminar starts with an opening ceremony hosted by Secretary General Richard Li of AIPPI China. Mr. Tian Lipu, Ex- Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office and President of AIPPI China and Mr. Long Chuanhong, Vice Secretary General of AIPPI China deliver welcome speech. The event attracts over 100 attendees.

The Seminar features panel discussion on “Value of Patents in Business”, “Injunctive Relief in IP Litigation”, “Inventive Step”, “Damages for Patent Infringement”, “Experimental Data”, “Industrial Design”, as well as “Comparison of Inventiveness Examination Practice in China and Japan”.

WAN HUI DA sends out an 8-member delegation to the Seminar. Partner Mr. Zhang Shuhua delivers presentation on “Injunctive Relief in Patent Infringement Cases”. Senior Patent Attorney Ms. Su Meng addresses the floor on “Supplementary data for Proving Inventiveness during Substantive Examination”. Senior Legal Counsel Ms. Feng (Janet) Zheng moderates the “Damages for Patent Infringement” panel. Other delegates include Senior Partner Ms. Duan Xiaoling, Senior Patent Counsel Ms. Wang Rui, Patent Counsels Ms. Tian Xinxin and Ms. Wu Xiaohui, as well as Patent Attorney Mr. Zhou Zhiming.
