Wanhuida Peksung Senior Partner Speaks at U.S.-China Roundtable

On 3 December, 2017, the U.S.-China Entrepreneurs Roundtable, which is jointly organised by the China Economic Cooperation Center (CECC), the government of Haidian and the EastWest Institute (EWI), is held in Beijing.


Entitled “The Responsibility of China and US Entrepreneurs: How to Build a Community of Shared Interests”, the roundtable features a dozen speakers and attracts about 20 business leaders, government officials and institutional delegates.


Yu Hongjun, Member of Committee of Foreign Affairs of CPPCC National Committee, Former Vice Minister of International Department of CPC, Vice President of Chinese People’s Association for Peace and Disarmament and Mr. John K. Hurley, Founder and Managing Partner, Cavalry Asset Management & EWI Director, deliver keynote speech at the opening ceremony.


It is followed by the presentation delivered by 6 entrepreneurs from China and the U.S. Speakers include Steven Wang, Vice President of Didi Company, Matthew Dorny, Executive VP and General Counsel, Nu Skin Enterprises, Ning Lei, International Government Affairs Director, Baidu, Michael Qiu, VP and General Counsel – Asia, Global Brand Protection and Greater China Government Relations, The Procter & Gamble Company, Gao Jin, Chairman & CEO, Beijing Jing-Meng Stem Cell Technology Co., Ltd. and Wang Xiaohui, Managing Partner at PeakView Fund.


Wanhuida Peksung Senior Partner Dr. S. Sam Li speaks on the “Development of the Intellectual Property Case Law in China”. Other speakers also include Timothy P. Stratford, Former Assistant United States Trade Representative; Managing Partner, Covington & Burling LLP and Robert Holden, Chairman, Midwest U.S.-China Association.


Meng Jingwei, Executive Vice Mayor of Haidian District and John K. Hurley deliver closing remarks. The roundtable is moderated by Joel Cowan, Professor, Georgia Institute of Technology, EWI Director and Hu Yanxin, President of CECC.
