From 20th to 21st May, 2017, the 10th "BFSU - WAN HUI DA Cup" Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition (Moot Court Competition), which is jointly organised by the Law School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and WAN HUI DA, sponsored by Microsoft China, is held at the BFSU campus.

The Moot Court Competition attracts 16 competing teams from Western Sydney University, Bond University (Australia), University of Toledo and St. Mary's University (U.S.), Soochow University (Taiwan), Tsinghua University, Peking University, China University of Political Science and Law (CUPSL), Zhongnan University of Economics and Law (ZUEL), East China University of Political Science and Law (ECUPSL), Beijing Institute of Technology, China Foreign Affairs University, China Youth University of Political Studies (CYUPS), Changchun University of Science and Technology, Xiangtan University as well as the BFSU.

On May 20th, the opening ceremony and 10th Anniversary of the Moot Court Competition is held. Mr. YU Cike, Director of Copyright Administration Department, National Copyright Administration of State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television, Mr. GE Shu, Executive Deputy Director of the Patent Reexamination Board of the SIPO, Mr. CHEN Jinchuan, Vice President of the Beijing Intellectual Property Court, Ms. LV Zhihua, Deputy Director of the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board (TRAB), Ms. ZHOU Yan, Deputy Director General of Beijing Intellectual Property Office, Mr. LI Mingde, Executive Vice President of the Intellectual Property Law Association as well as Mr. Kevin LUO, GM, ARD Legal Affairs of Microsoft Asia-Pacific RD Group, Assistant General Counsel of Microsoft are present at the opening ceremony.

The competing teams debate forefront OEM trademark infringement issues during the two-day competition. The team from Bond University won the first place; the team of CUPSL won the second place; the teams from ECUPSL and BFSU won the third place.

On May 21st, WAN HUI DA Senior Partner TANG Tiejun presents awards to the representatives of the winning teams at the closing ceremony.

The BFSU - WHD IP Moot Court Competition is the only English competition that strictly abides by the rules for international moot court and focuses on international intellectual property laws in China. WAN HUI DA has been its co-organiser since its first competition in 2008.
