From August 18 to 19, 2017, the "AIPPI China Youth IP Summer Seminar 2017", which is organised by the AIPPI Chinese National Group, is held at Pinggu, Beijing. The Seminar is conducted in English and serves as a platform for the young attorneys and lawyers to showcase their lingual and professional expertise.

The Seminar starts with an opening ceremony hosted by Secretary General Richard Li of AIPPI China. President Ma Hao and Vice President Long Chuanhong and Lin Xiaohong deliver welcome speech. Features speakers include judge and officials from the China Trademark Office and the Trademark Review and Adjudication Board. The event attracts over 100 attendees.

The Seminar features panel discussion on "Me and My Career as a Trademark Attorney", "Business Model & Patent Portfolio under Background of Sharing Economy", "International Registration v National Application", "Guidelines of the Beijing High Court for Finding Patent Infringement 2017", "Outbound Patent Applications of Chinese Businesses", "Exploring Blacklist Mechanism to Cease Bad Faith Filing", "New Trends in Pharmaceutical Patent Protection" as well as the "Application of Second Paragraph of Article 15 of the Chinese Trademark Law".

Wanhuida Peksung sends out a 7-member delegation to the Seminar. Trademark Counsel Cai Ye speaks on the "Application of Second Paragraph of Article 15 of the Chinese Trademark Law" and Patent Engineer Zhao Man addresses the floor on "New Trends in Pharmaceutical Patent Protection". Other delegates include Senior Partner Duan Xiaoling, Senior Patent Counsel Hu Honghui, Senior Patent Attorney Su Meng, Patent Engineer Sui Dandan, as well as Trademark Attorney Guan Gege.
