Wanhuida Peksung Senior Partners Speak at MIP Shanghai Summit
The "MIP Global IP & Innovation Summit 2017" (the Summit), which is hosted by Managing Intellectual Property, is held at Shanghai Marriott Hotel City Center from August 30 to 31, 2017.
The Summit returns for
its sixth year to Shanghai, taking an in-depth look inside China's growing IP
market. The Summit primarily examines in details the achievements of the
Chinese IP courts in leading many judicial reforms in China and tracks recent
trends in second medical use patents, trade secret protection,
anti-counterfeiting solutions and Standard Essential Patents with particular
reference to landmark decisions in Europe.
Wanhuida Peksung
sponsors the first panel "A comprehensive overview of patent law
amendments in China" of the Summit. The firm's Senior Partners Dr. S. Sam
Li and Jason Yao speak on "China patent litigation highlights" and
"Damages: increasing punitive damages for repetitive infringement".
Other panelists include:
Guojun Zhou, director of patents APAC, Intel Sheng Xu, senior IP counsel, Medtronic Wushuang Huang, the dean of IP School, East China University of Political Science & Law Guojun Zhou and Sheng Xu speak on "Patent examination and regulatory compliance under the newly amended act" and Professor Wushuang Huang speaks on "The need for harmonisation for rulings between courts and more authority given to local government".
Dr. S. Sam Li also
serves as the moderator of the panel. The firm's Partner Cindy Shu Qi ZHEN,
