From September 5 to 6, 2017, the 8th Patent Information Annual Conference of China 2017 (PIAC), which is organised by the Intellectual Property Publishing House, is convened in Beijing. The event, with the theme "Patent, Driving the Growth of Real Economy", has attracted over 8,000 attendees from all over the world.

In Tuesday morning, Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) delivers opening and welcome address. Featured keynote speakers include LUO Wen, Vice Minister of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, HE Hua, Deputy Commissioner, SIPO, Yoshiyuki Takagi, Assistant Director General, WIPO, Andy Sherman, EVP, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary of Dolby Laboratories, INC, Mark Snyder, Senior Vice President, Qualcomm, Noreen Krall, Vice President and Chief Litigation Counsel for Apple Inc., as well as John David Flynn, Associate General Counsel of IBM Headquarters.

On Wednesday, a launch ceremony of the "i Think Tank College" is held by the event organiser. Wanhuida Peksung Senior Partner Jiang Jiancheng attends the ceremony and the panel discussion in the capacity of Vice President of All-China Patent Attorneys Association (ACPAA). The firm's Senior Partner Duan Xiaoling and Patent Counsel Gu Xueni also attend the event.
