On October 6-8, 2017, the International AIDV Conference, which is hosted by the International Wine Law Association that is also known as Association Internationale des Juristes du Droit de la Vigne et du Vin (AIDV), is held in Bordeaux, France.

The Conference features keynote speech delivered by Thomas Schmitz, President AIDV, Patrick Seguin, President Chamber of Commerce of Bordeaux as well as Philippe Castéja, President Conseil des Grands Crus Classés en 1855 (Médoc & Sauternes).

The three-day event features discussions focusing on topics including "Litigating wine-related matters: a comparison of litigation and court practices in various legal systems and jurisdictions", "The Judges' session: a roundtable about valid evidence and more such matters", "Alternative Dispute Resolution in wine matters: how does it work, its pitfalls and benefits – a debate", "Negotiating wine deals", "The Regulators' session: various systems of wine law enforcement", "Surprise! - unexpected aspects of the wine business", "Traditional expressions and denominations, a round table", and "WTO barriers: people in glass houses....".
