Wanhuida Delegates Attend 2018 AIPPI China Youth IP Seminar

From 6 to 7 July, 2018, the “2018 AIPPI China Youth IP Seminar”, which is organised by the AIPPI Chinese Group, is convened at Pinggu, Beijing. The Seminar is unveiled with an opening ceremony hosted by Mr. Richard Yi Li, Secretary General of AIPPI China. Mr. Tian Lipu, President of AIPPI China delivers welcome speech at the ceremony. The floor is then prepared by the keynote speech of Mr. Hong Yongqing, Secretary General of Shanghai Pujiang Enterprise Intellectual Property Cooperation and Exchange Promotion Center.

The Seminar features 8 panel discussions on “The Prosecution and Protection Concerning the Partial Design Patent Application in China”, “AI in Eyes of Patent Attorneys”, “Patenting Biotech Inventions in China: Challenges and Opportunities”, “Hot Topics on Exhaustion of Intellectual Property Rights”, “Drafting & Prosecution Vs. Enforcement – Best Practice and Strategies”, “Evidence Issues in Patent Invalidation and Litigation”, “Hot Topics for Standard Essential Patents" and “What Is Valid Use to Maintain a Trademark Registration and the Trademark Use in Infringement Litigation”. Featured speakers also include examiners of the State Intellectual Property Office.

Wanhuida sends out a 6-member delegation to the Seminar. Patent Attorney Mr. Liu Sizhe addresses the floor on “AI Encounters the Patent”. Paralegal Mr. Yu Yajun speaks on “Initiation of Judicial Appraisal in Patent Litigation”. Patent Assistant Ms. Zhang Mengqian moderates the panel “Evidence Issues in Patent Invalidation and Litigation”. Other delegates include Senior Partner Ms. Duan Xiaoling, as well as Patent Attorneys Ms. Xie Xiaohan and Ms. Zou Qinqin.
