
On May 12, 2026, the “2026 Conference on EU-China relations - Navigating beyond the Inflection Point”, which is organized by the European Union Delegation to China, is held in Beijing.
The conference laser-focuses on a plethora of hot-button issues in the EU-China relations, from trade relations, global security, tech landscape to multilateralism for development and global green governance. The event brings together heavyweight speakers including high-level diplomats, thinktank veterans, prestigious academicians, as well as delegates from chamber of commerce and other business organisations.
Lei Yongjian, Partner and Management Committee Member, Wanhuida Intellectual Property, is invited to speak at the session featuring “EU-China trade in geographical indication (GI) products” (4th EU-China symposium on GI law and practice).
Yongjian’s presentation delves into “Trends in GI Litigations in China”. He gives the attendees a roundup of the exemplary GI cases litigated by the firm and parses the latest trends and developments in the civil, criminal and administrative GI litigations in China.
The panel is moderated by Davide FOLLADOR, Counsellor for Trade and Intellectual Property, EU Delegation to China. Fellow speakers include officials from EUIPO Business Operation Department, EU Delegation to China, and SAMR Enforcement and Inspection Bureau, in-house counsel in charge of GI Protection, as well as the representative from OriGIn.
