On 7 - 10 October 2026, the 2026 AIPPI World Congress is convened in Hamburg, Germany. The Congress, which features the famous AIPPI Study Questions, thought-provoking plenary sessions, intriguing panel sessions, AIPPI Café (roundtables on a variety of hot topics), unique events like Women in AIPPI and the Young AIPPI Forum, attracts around 3,000 delegates around the globe.

The Congress has four dedicated pharma sessions where panelists focus their discussion on matters like “Link or sink. Comparative patent linkage regimes worldwide and hot issues in innovative drugs R&D”, “Oldie but goldie? Second medical use claims”, “From Code to Cure: Navigating AI Driven Biotech Innovation” and “Reward after award: Damages and Royalty Models in Pharma Patent Infringement - Towards a Global Standard?”. Its panel sessions cover an array of hot-button issues including inter alia, “From Napster to OpenAI: transforming business models in the cultural industry”, “Anything under the sun made by men deserves protection? Human creation with AI”, “TRIPS and beyond: Global approaches to well-known, famous and reputed marks”, “Blurring the Boundaries: Cross border patent litigation”, “Hot Pot: Spice it with Standard & Essential-SEP Recipe”, “Building icons: When fictional characters become IP assets”, among others.
