Chen Xiaolei is a Partner and patent attorney based in the firm’s Suzhou Office, where he has been practicing since 2021. Mr. Chen heads the firm’s Suzhou Patent Team, overseeing its domestic patent prosecution practice in East China.

Before joining the firm, Mr. Chen used to work for the Patent Examination Cooperation (Jiangsu) Center of the Patent Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration for five years, where he examined over 500 cases in communication and computer field. He later joined an Internet unicorn enterprise, shifting his practice to the building and maintaining of a solid corporate patent portfolio, in his new capacity of patent researcher.

Mr. Chen has abundant experience in patent prosecution matters, including patent drafting, reply to office action, patent reexamination and invalidation, patent validity analysis, infringement risk assessment, and freedom to operate. He also advises the clients on corporate intellectual property management matters like patent mining, patent layout strategising, cultivation of high-value patent, among others.

Mr. Chen’s clientele includes leading players in IT, EV, AI and ecommerce industry.
