Wanhuida Partner Speaks at Justra Forum during 2020 INTA AM

The 2020 Annual Meeting & Leadership Meeting (November 9– 13, 2020) of the International Trademark Association (INTA) is held virtually. The five-day Annual Meeting is held November 16-20, 2020. INTA offers, during the AM, 12 educational tracks to help the attendees navigate sessions meeting their specific interests and needs.


As the first ever non-English track at the AM, INTA dedicates the “DEVELOPING ISSUES IN CHINA” Mandarin track, which is held on November 18, to discussing developing issues, including topics on AI, big data, geographical indications, and bad faith registrations in China.


Etienne Sanz de Acedo, Chief Executive Officer of INTA delivers welcome remarks at the Mandarin track. Professor Chuntian Liu, Renmin University prepares the floor with a keynote speech on “Intellectual Property & Business Environment”.


Beijing Justra Intellectual Property Center (Justra) hosts a panel featuring “Identification of Trademark Infringement in Parallel Imports: Chinese Practice and International Experience” from 11:30 am–12:30 pm.


The Justra Forum offers a forum of discussion on the parameters in ascertaining trademark infringement in parallel imports in Chinese judicial practice.


The Forum features below keynote speech and guest speakers:

  • “Trademark Infringement in Parallel Imports – A discussion based on actual experiences”, Ray Xu, Pernod Ricard (China)

Moderated by Justra Vice President Dr. Wang Ze, the Forum attracts a total of 60+ attendees from home and abroad.


Heavyweight speakers at other panels of the Mandarin track “Capsule Keynote: Key Issues Affecting Brands In and Outside China”, “New Trends in IPR Enforcement in China” and “One Year On: China’s New Trademark Law Implementation” also include Zhimin He, Deputy Commissioner, China National Intellectual Property Administration, Lawrence Wong, Director, International IP Enforcement, Eastman Chemical Company as well as Dongping Wu, Associate Secretary General, China Trademark Association.
