Wanhuida Peksung Addresses INTA Event in Beijing

On Friday October 20, 2017, the "Young Practitioners and Trademark Administrator Reception", which is organised by the INTA Young Practitioners Event Subcommittee, jointly hosted by Wanhuida Peksung, Unitalen Attorneys at Law and darts-ip, is held in Beijing.


The event, which is offered by the committee throughout the year in cities around the world, aims to facilitate the networking among Young Practitioners and help them understand the benefits that are available to them as they begin their career in the trademark industry.


This year, the committee has, for the first time, organized an event in China. Under the heading "IP in China and beyond", the event features informative presentation on:


"Trademark Registration in the US – Characteristics of the System and Practical Hints", given by Joel B. Blank, USPTO IP Attaché – Beijing

"Trademark Registration in the EU – Characteristics of the System, Practical Hints and Changes due to the Recent Reform", given by Carolina Calheiros and Jan Gerd Mietzel, Partners of Rolim, Mietzel, Wohlnick & Calheiros LLP, as well as

"Recent IP developments in China", given by LI Xiaolian, trademark counsel at Wanhuida Peksung.


The program also includes a roundtable on "Typical issues faced by Young Practitioners in the area of IP". The panelists, including LIU Jian, President, IPACE - IP Academy of Chinese Enterprises, LEI Yongjian, Partner, Wanhuida Peksung, LI Yongbo, Senior Partner, Unitalen Attorneys at Law as well as Shi Jining, Regional Manager China, darts-ip, interact with the audience.


The event attracts approximately 70 attendees including young practitioners, governmental officials and attorney at laws.
