From September 27 - September 29, 2026, the 2026 Trademark Administrators & Practitioners (TMAP) Meeting, which is organized by the International Trademark Association (INTA), is convened in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.
The event gathers around 500 participants, including trademark administrators, paralegals, IP operations professionals, brand owners, government representatives, and experienced practitioners for two days of practical education, peer exchange, and professional connection.
This year’s program is packed with timely, relevant content on the issues TMAs and trademark practitioners are navigating, including AI adoption, portfolio health, dupes and lookalikes, transactions, prosecution trends, broader IP protection strategies, and the evolving role of TMAs within their organizations.
Wanhuida Intellectual Property sends four delegates to the event. Headed by Lei Yongjian, the firm’s Partner and Management Committee member, the delegates including Trademark Counsel Yuan Yi, Trademark Attorney Lyu Qiutong, as well as Marketing Specialist Carmine Bai attend various meetings and events.

Lyu Qiutong is one of the five speakers at the session titled “If I Were Filing There Tomorrow: A Practical Tour of Global Trademark Developments”, which turns regional trademark developments into practical, administrator-ready intelligence. Qiutong and her fellow panelists representing key jurisdictions share insights on five issues: 1) current examination timelines, 2) the number one refusal they see, 3) one procedural trap to avoid, 4) one cost-saving move, and 5) the one thing that consistently frustrates local counsel. Designed for TMAs managing global portfolios, the discussion delivers a side-by-side view of how practice actually differs across regions, beyond headlines and general legal updates.
